Expression of Interest: “She” – A Play About Intimate Partner Violence

We are seeking actors, sponsors, and production team members for a powerful and necessary new theatrical production titled “She”, a raw and resonant play exploring the complexities of intimate partner violence through the lens of women's lived experiences. It has been re-written from its original form that was delivered to a sold out audience at the 2024 Fringe North Festival, to a full length two act performance art piece.

“She” is more than a play — it is a platform for dialogue, awareness, healing, and change. Through compelling storytelling and emotional honesty, the production aims to challenge stigma, validate survivors, and invite communities to confront difficult truths with compassion and accountability.

We are currently inviting expressions of interest from individuals and organizations who are passionate about social justice, storytelling, and making a difference through the arts.

We are looking for:

Actors – 8 Women of varying ages/demographics- 1 male. No experience required.

Production Team Members – stage managers, designers (set, props, sound, costumes), and crew who are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and high-quality artistic experience.

Sponsors and Community Partners – Organizations, businesses, and individuals who believe in using art as a catalyst for social change and are willing to support this important work through financial contributions, in-kind donations, or promotional partnerships.

We aim to foster a trauma-informed and inclusive creative process. No one will be asked to share personal experiences unless they choose to. All participants will be respected and supported throughout. She will be performed at the Sault Theatre Workshop September 17-20th
