About the Event
Join Northern Ontario Poet J.L. Fizzell in a one and a half hour outdoor workshop where we explore our stories through the lens of nature and poetry at one of Sault Ste Marie's prettiest places - Belleview Park. Gathering together in a place where the natural world meets the man made, you'll explore the process of using abstract thought to express yourself creatively and learn to use poetic techniques to explore your narrative and how it connects to the greater whole. Don't let the word poetry scare you, this workshop is open to all skill levels. The goal is to inspire you to look at the world in new ways, connect with your authentic voice, learn how to tell your story and above all else, HAVE fun! With that being said, the recommended age group for this event is 14+.
Please be sure to bring your own seating (ie. Chairs and blankets) as well as something to write on/with as extra supplies will be limited. We will be meeting near the Green house/water fixtures.
